WHAT TO EXPECT

Newborn photography is a very time-sensitive process. Sessions are ideally scheduled within the first two weeks after birth. Once your baby is older than two weeks, they are considered a “mature newborn.” At this stage, it can be more challenging to achieve the classic posed images many parents love.

With that said, we can absolutely still create beautiful, meaningful photographs of your little one at any age. Setting clear expectations is key when booking a mature newborn session. My goal is always to capture the very best images to fill your gallery with heartfelt memories. 🤍

When booking a mature newborn session, please keep in mind that while your baby is still wonderfully tiny, they may not tolerate every pose typically achieved earlier in the newborn stage. All sessions include several wrapped poses and up to two unwrapped poses. If your baby does not comfortably settle into the unwrapped poses within a reasonable time, your session will be completed entirely with wrapped setups to ensure a smooth and successful experience.
